SG Bumper Cars: Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 August 2026

The rules of the road for playing the game. Short version: play it, enjoy it, do not cheat, and remember it is satire.

These terms are an agreement between you and Kopitiam Games ("we", "us"), an independent game studio based in Singapore, covering SG Bumper Cars ("the Game"): the browser version at sg-bumpercars.app, the pages on this website, and the Android app currently in closed testing. There is no iOS version. Our Privacy Policy explains what data the Game handles and forms part of these terms.

The Game is free, in full. Nothing in it is for sale, there is no subscription, and no part of it is held back behind a payment. The Game has a voluntary tip jar (Buy Uncle a Kopi), and that is a gift rather than a sale: it unlocks nothing and changes nothing in the Game. See section 5. If you ever see something on another site claiming to sell SG Bumper Cars or anything inside it, it is not us.

1. Accepting these terms

By playing the Game or using this website, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not play. The Game is a work of satire intended for a general teen-and-up audience and is not directed at children under 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, play only with the agreement of a parent or guardian.

2. Your licence to play

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to play the Game for your own entertainment. The Game is free to play. You may share links to it freely, including the challenge links the Game generates, and you may stream, record and monetise your own gameplay footage without asking us. What you may not do is sell the Game itself, host your own copy of it, or present it as your own work.

3. Fair use

You agree not to:

  • Use bots, scripts, macros, emulated input or any other automation to play the Game, generate scores, or repeat runs.
  • Modify the Game, tamper with saved data, or manipulate network requests in order to submit scores or unlock content you did not earn.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Game, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction.
  • Interfere with the leaderboards, the daily challenge, or the Kaki Duels inbox, including by flooding, spamming or impersonating other players.
  • Interact artificially with the advertising in the Game. Do not click or tap ads other than out of genuine interest, do not encourage or pay anyone else to, and do not use automated traffic, traffic exchanges or any other artificial means to generate ad impressions or clicks. This is a condition of our advertising partners as well as ours.
  • Use the Game or this website in a way that breaks any law that applies to you, or that attacks, overloads or degrades the service for other players.

4. Accounts and the Recovery Licence

The Game creates an anonymous account for you automatically so that leaderboards and cloud save can work. There is no sign-up, no email and no password, and we cannot identify you from it. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

If you want to move that account to another device, the Game can issue you a Recovery Licence: a card you save, carrying a recovery code that acts as your password. That code is the only thing that proves the account is yours, so treat it like a password. Keep it private, and keep a copy somewhere safe. We cannot look it up, reset it or recover it for you, because we hold nothing that links the account to you as a person. Anyone who has your code can restore your account, so do not post it or send it to anyone, including us.

5. Coins, in-game items and tips

Coins, cars, paints, horns and other in-game items are part of the Game, not property. They have no real-world monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money or anything outside the Game, and cannot be transferred or sold to another player. Coins are earned by playing, or by choosing to watch a rewarded video; they cannot be bought. Nothing in the Game is chance-based: there are no loot boxes, no random crates and no gambling of any kind. What a paint job or a horn costs is written on it before you spend a coin. We may adjust prices, rewards and the economy as we balance the Game. If you reset your save data, the items and progress on that device are gone and we cannot restore them.

Voluntary tips. You can send us a voluntary tip through Buy Uncle a Kopi, which is handled by Ko-fi, a third-party payments service. A tip is a gift, not a purchase, and it does not change the paragraph above: nothing in the Game is locked behind it. It buys no coins, unlocks no car, paint, horn or other item, removes no advertising, grants no mark on any leaderboard and confers no advantage in any mode. We never see your card details, and nothing about a tip reaches your game account or our servers, so a tip cannot be linked to a player. Tips are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.

6. Display names and leaderboards

You can set a leaderboard display name. It is shown publicly next to your scores, so do not put personal information in it, and do not use a name that is abusive, hateful, sexual, impersonates someone, or promotes anything illegal. We may change or remove a name that breaks this rule, and we may remove scores we believe were not earned by playing.

Ask us and we will delete your leaderboard entries and cloud save. See Contact.

7. Advertising

The Game is free because it is ad-supported. Ads appear as occasional full-screen breaks between runs, never during a run, plus rewarded videos you choose to watch for an in-game perk. A rewarded video only plays after you tap a clearly labelled button, and the reward is stated before it starts. Nothing in the Game asks you to click an ad, and there is no reward for doing so. How ads use cookies, and how to opt out of personalised ads, is set out in the Privacy Policy.

8. Third-party services

The Game relies on services we do not control: Google for advertising, Supabase for anonymous accounts and leaderboards, PostHog for opt-in analytics, Vercel for hosting, and Ko-fi for voluntary tips in the browser version. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to what they do, and they are linked from the Privacy Policy. If one of them is unavailable, parts of the Game such as leaderboards, duels or cloud save may stop working for a while, and the rest of the Game carries on without them.

On playing offline. Your campaign progress is stored on your device, and once the page has loaded, the Game itself needs no connection: you can drive with the network off. Loading the page in the first place does need one, so the browser version is not something you can open on a plane from cold.

9. The Android test build

The Android app is in closed testing. It is not on Google Play, and if you are running it you got it from us as a tester. Pre-release software comes with the usual honesty: it may change without notice, it may break, features may appear and disappear, we may end the test at any time, and saved progress in a test build may have to be reset. Please do not redistribute the build. Everything else in these terms applies to it in the same way it applies to the browser version.

10. Our content, parody and copyright

The Game, its code, art, music, voice performances, characters and written material belong to Kopitiam Games, except where a third-party licence is noted in the Game or on this website. You may use our press kit material freely for coverage of the Game.

SG Bumper Cars is a work of satire and parody. Place names, landmarks, vehicles, institutions and cultural references are used affectionately and are not endorsed by anyone. Nothing in the Game implies affiliation with, sponsorship by, or approval from any person, brand, company or government agency, in Singapore, Malaysia or anywhere else. The characters are inventions. The driving is not advice: do not drive like this in real life.

If you believe something in the Game or on this website infringes your copyright, email kopitiam.games@gmail.com with "Copyright" as the subject and tell us: what the work is, where in the Game or on the site you found it, how to reach you, and a statement that you hold the rights or act for whoever does. We will look into it promptly and remove or replace anything that should not be there. We would rather fix it than argue about it. If we remove something of yours by mistake, tell us and we will put it back.

11. No warranty

The Game is provided as is and as available. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device or browser, or that saved progress, scores or cloud data will never be lost. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow this, in which case the exclusions apply only as far as that law permits, and nothing here limits any consumer right you have that cannot be waived.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost data, lost progress or lost in-game items, arising from your use of the Game. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or ten Singapore dollars. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Suspension and termination

You can stop at any time: close the page, or uninstall the app. You can erase everything stored on your device with Settings, Reset Save Data.

We may suspend or remove an anonymous account, a display name or a leaderboard entry if we reasonably believe it breaks section 3 or section 6, and we may withdraw the Game or any part of it. Sections 5, 10, 11, 12, 14 and 15 survive the end of this agreement.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, or of the right to bring a claim there.

15. General

  • If one part fails, the rest stands. If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, that part is trimmed to the minimum that works, or dropped, and everything else stays in force.
  • This is the whole agreement between you and us about the Game, together with the Privacy Policy. It replaces anything we may have said elsewhere.
  • Not enforcing something is not giving it up. If we do not act on a breach straight away, we can still act on it later.
  • Transfers. You may not transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else. We may transfer ours if the Game changes hands, and your rights under these terms go with it.
  • How we reach you. Since we hold no email address for you, notices go up in the Game or on this website. You can always reach us at the address in section 17.
  • Things outside anyone's control. We are not responsible for failures caused by events we cannot reasonably control, such as network outages or a provider going down.

16. Changes

We may update these terms as the Game evolves. The "Last updated" date above changes when we do, and material changes are surfaced in the Game where required. Continuing to play after an update means you accept the revised terms.
