What you get in the app
Plays offline
The whole game installs with the app, every voice line included. MRT tunnel, plane, basement carpark: it keeps going, and leaderboards and duels catch up when you are back online.
On your home screen
Its own icon, full screen, no browser bar eating the top of the road.
Reminders, if you want them
A nudge before your Daily Challenge streak runs out, or when a friend's duel is waiting. Off until you switch them on, and quiet at night.
Duels open straight in
A friend's Kaki Duel link opens the run in the app, ready to drive.
Free in the way that matters. Every level, mode and car is in the app, and nothing is locked behind a payment. There is an ad between runs now and then, optional videos if you want extra coins, and a tip jar that unlocks nothing at all.
Same game, same leaderboards
The app runs the same build as the website, so nothing is exclusive to either, and a score set in a browser goes up against a score set in the app on the same leaderboards.
Bring your progress with you
A browser and an app keep their saves apart, so your Recovery Licence carries your progress across:
- In the browser game, open Settings and save your licence card.
- Install the app from Google Play.
- Restore the card in the app. Your levels, coins, cars and leaderboard name come with it.
On iPhone and iPad
There is no iOS app, and none is planned. The browser version on an iPhone is the whole game, touch controls and all, and added to your home screen it opens full screen from its own icon:
- Open sg-bumpercars.app in Safari.
- Tap the Share button.
- Choose Add to Home Screen, then Add.
