SG Bumper Cars Play free

Buy uncle a kopi

The tip jar

SG Bumper Cars is free and stays free. No paywall, no energy timer, no "watch an ad to continue", and the whole 28-level campaign is unlocked by playing it. This page is for anyone who wants to buy the developer a drink anyway.

It buys you nothing

Worth saying before the menu rather than after it. A tip here unlocks nothing: no car, no paint, no horn, no coins, no badge, no mark on any leaderboard, no shortcut through any level, and no fewer ads. Everything in the game stays exactly as free and exactly as unlocked as it was before you got here.

That is deliberate and it is permanent. The moment a tip buys something it stops being a gift and becomes a purchase, which changes what the app stores require and what the taxman calls it. It is cleaner for everybody if the answer is simply that the game is free and the kopi is separate.

So if you are here looking for value for money, there is none, and you should go and play the game instead. It is free. The road is that way.

The chit

Pick whatever you feel like buying him, then type that amount on the Ko-fi page. Prices are what the real thing costs, more or less, on a good day, at a hawker centre uncle is willing to queue at.

Or pay as you feel. Two dollars is two dollars, and uncle is not fussy.

Where the money goes

Tips are handled by Ko-fi, a third-party payments service. Ko-fi takes nothing on tips. The card processor takes roughly 2.9% plus 30 cents, which is the only reason the chit starts at $3 rather than $1: on a one dollar tip the processor keeps about a third of it, and that is a silly way for your money to end up.

What is left pays for hosting, the domain, the Play Store listing and the kopi. SG Bumper Cars is made by one person in Singapore, at night, after work. There is no studio, no publisher and no investor.

We never see your card details, and nothing about your tip comes back to the game: there is no callback and no record of it in your save or on our servers. That also means a tip cannot be matched to a game account even if you wanted it to be. See the Privacy Policy and the Terms.

Free things that help just as much

Genuinely. None of these cost anything and at least two of them are worth more than $3 to a game nobody has heard of:

  • Tell one person. Word of mouth is the entire marketing budget.
  • Rate the Android app, or leave a comment wherever you found the game.
  • Send a bug report to kopitiam.games@gmail.com. This one especially. Uncle cannot test on every phone, and the bug you shrugged off is probably ruining the game for somebody else.
  • Post a run. The brag cards are built into the results screen and they carry a challenge link a friend can drive.
