Over the border, where the prices turn to ringgit and the road turns to craters, all the way to a final showdown in Forest City.

One last shot at a second life

The Karang Guni King could not bring himself to scrap her, so his cousin's workshop across the Causeway gets one shot at giving your car a second life. If you have ever crossed for petrol, a massage and banana cake, you will recognise every minute of the next seven levels. It opens after The Drive Home and The Morning After.

The crossing: three-quarter tank, dead autogates

Three-Quarter Tank Tango (level 22) is the petrol queue. Leave Singapore with less than three-quarters of a tank and you face a fine of up to $500, so every pump in Woodlands has a line of drivers filling to exactly three-quarters, and cars lunge out of it without looking.

Causeway Autogate Apocalypse (level 23) is the classic scene: every autogate down at once, one working booth, motorbikes on both shoulders, and families walking across with their luggage, overtaking you on foot.

Into Johor: the VEP, potholes and the Mount Austin crush

Past the SELAMAT DATANG KE JOHOR arch, the VEP gantry beeps at the tag you do not have: RM300, payable before you are allowed to leave. Then EDL Pothole Paradise (level 24) brings the chapter's signature hazard: rim-deep potholes, invisible until they are personal, each one billed in ringgit. Follow the car in front, because that driver knows where the road lies. At the petrol station the attendant points your Singapore plate at the RON97 pump: the cheap RON95 is not for you.

Mount Austin Massage Rush (level 25) is the pilgrimage: every Singapore car in Malaysia heading for the same five shoplots. Relaxed aunties float across four lanes, cars triple-park outside every reflexology den, and if you look at the merge wrong, the Road Bully in his lifted pickup hunts your bumper the rest of the way.

The Johor night: floods, Mat Rempit, Forest City

Kampung Flood Detour (level 26) is the one where the map app lies: a flooded kampung shortcut in a storm, durian lorries mid-flood, and cows standing in the road with the calm of animals who know they own it. Then the Mat Rempit Midnight GP (level 27), the chapter's speed peak: two hundred kapcais with no headlights and infinite confidence.

It ends with the Forest City Ghost Run (level 28) among half-empty towers, where you face the Klon: a cloned twin of your own car with a darker soul. Survive that and you have driven the whole campaign, north, south and across the border.

Everything is in ringgit now

Once you cross, the game switches to ringgit: pothole damage, the VEP fine, the banana cake, and the duit kopi in the Teh Tarik Run bonus mode. The only amount still in Singapore dollars is the three-quarter tank fine, which is handed out on the Singapore side of the bridge.
